Role Description
This is a part-time role as a Driver at Oklahoma Medical Transport. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clients to a variety of destinations, including doctor appointments and facility transfers. This is an on-site role based in Broken Arrow, OK. Utilizing the company’s wheelchair transport vehicles, drivers are dispatched via mobile software to complete one-way and round-trip transport across the Green Country area. Occasionally, drivers may be asked to complete transport beyond the typical radius.
This position starts at $13 an hour, with yearly raises.


Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Arriving to business headquarters in a timely manner
- Following Dispatch instructions, schedule changes, and other day-of needs
- Completing end-of shift duties unless otherwise dismissed by dispatch. (Filling gas tank, going to car wash, and vacuuming vehicle)
- Following navigation directions.
- Completing required checks on mobile app, MediRoutes, as prompted.
- Reporting any issues, vehicle damage, or concerns to dispatcher.
- Safely and securely operate company vehicles. Including following all safety procedures with tie-downs and securing wheelchair customers as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver’s License
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience operating transportation vehicles, wheelchair-lift experience is a plus.
- Ability to navigate and follow directions. Experience following map directions via GIS (Google, Android, Apple Maps, etc.) is crucial for success.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Ability to push and pull a wheelchair with a client. (Up to 270 lbs.)
- Experience in the medical transport industry is a plus.
- Spanish-Speaking is a plus.

This position is part-time with predicted hours between 15 and 24 hours a week. *Hours are determined by the week’s scheduled transport needs.
This position requires the use of a personal smartphone, with regular usage throughout the work day for navigation, dispatch contact, and customer contact. Phone chargers and dashboard mount are provided.
Must be able to commute to Eastern Broken Arrow
